Behind the Scene's with the Plastic!Winchester's (Part 1 of 2)
I sat down to do this tonight and realized I had no idea what on earth I was doing.  What did you guys expect to see?  I put it together like a cheesy "Behind the Scenes" extra on a DVD.  Plastic!Dean and Plastic!Sam are your hosts, and they take you on a tour of the "studio", the art department, the CGI effects, and then show you some bloopers.  Is that what you wanted?  Well, anyway, consider this my first attempt.  Slight warning, this would be rated R for language (I think the word "bitch" is funny, *hee*) and it may be helpful to orientate yourself with my Harry Potter Room (my spare bedroom where the madness takes place) before we begin.  Ready?  Here we go.

I had no idea you were using a cat's scratching post. I really thought it was the floor. But it makes more sense now! This behind-the-scenes thing was very informative.

And hey, if the viewers at home wanted to send in props for you to use, is there an address you have set up for that? I'm totally serious here. I would send you props.

Art department! Aww, yeah. No expense is spared in the realm of markers and tinfoil! AND it keeps the art department out of trouble. You can't say pshaw to that!
Oo, yes, it is a long way down, plastic!Dean, however, since you're plastic, the only injury you might suffer is abject embarassment. it's still scary though, I hear that.
Hee hee, cleaning the spare room? Isn't that like, sacralege in some countries? Guatemala, maybe?

WOO! Props! Table! I can only imagine how annoying that can get... *L* The red alligator.. HA, Sammy luvs wizards! And the swamp monster with the pink toenails that I meant to comment about earlier but didn't comments too! Shockingly funny!

I love the perspective shots! I was wondering what the hell you'd do to make a behind the scenes.
Hee, the neighbors would *really* have something to look at if you shot an outdoor scene with the dolls. Can you imagine?!?! *snickers*
Some lady in rollers and a bathrobe, coffee in hand, peeking out the window and making a running commentary to her cat, or husband or a friend on the phone...
Oh, look at that! Now she's running across the street and putting some sort of ... green blob? I don't know what that is. She's taking pictures now.
Honestly, Doris, I dont know what is wrong with young girls these days... playing with dolls in the street at six in the morning. I ask you, I mean really... Oohhh, you should try this new creamer. *sip coffee* It practically curls my toes... OH! Now it looks like she's stuffing one of the dolls up the blob's ass!

I have far to vivid an imagination, I think. I should not be allowed near dolls, nor write you a doll script. Or send props for it.

I thought about shooting outdoors for the "in the woods" scenes. But besides the "my neighbors will think I'm crazY' aspect, I also decided it wouldn't be fair to the art department, who work so hard and tirelessly on our backdrops.

Or you could do all three. *grin*

I knew that was a scratching post. I think I called it from episode one. Though the fact that it's used for flexible camera angles is beyond genius.

Shocked by the reveal of the miniImpala! That is tiny! And the slur on the much-maligned table.

Isn't the Mini!Impala a surprise? People kept asking me where I found a Barbie sized Impala, and I kept pointing out that you never actually see Sam and Dean ride in it. *L* Misdirection, my friends, it is the magicians most trusted friend. *L*

F*#$@^& table!!! I hate that thing. HAAAAATE IT. It will not stand up. And short of duct taping it to the floor, I don't know what else to do with it. I've been looking for another table, but Mattel doesn't seem to MAKE any other tables. *anger*

Sam + Harry Potter = OTP. In my original draft (good lord, that should be the next Behind the Scenes, how many drafts I usually go through) Dean was a little more pissy with Sam and Harry. But I changed it because...well, it was funnier this way I thought. :)

I think I caught the edges of it in one of the pics for the first episode. And oddly, it made sense to me because I thought you were using it in a different way (your camera angles are gold, so that's a great use). I thought perhaps you had the Winchesters on a formica table with their scenery behind them, and the scratching post underneath as a base floor. That way, some of the action sequences and what-not would actually have the characters/furniture lying down (to offset the thwarting from gravity). :D

The table goes with the mutant falling-down chair doesn't it? Maybe they're part of a single, cursed set!

Oh, my GOD, you have no idea. They fall CONSTANTLY. *L* One day I will actually snap the picture as they're falling (like the coke bottle - that was just the weirdest coincidence I caught that). And usually once thy fall Lily is right there to pounce on them and attack. *L* She's so funny.

I can just imagine the poor old lady across the street shaking her head as that strange girl is outside snapping picture of a toy car again. And it's hard to shoot the car so it doesn't have camera-flash flares. It's just that shiny. *L*
