I Reject Your Reality and Replace It With My Own

1) Sorry I've been so AWOL lately. My sister's wedding is tomorrow and the freak-out has begun. My mother has entered Crisis Management Mode which means she's got everything under control. You're either helping or your hindering, and those who hinder are shot on sight.

2) I got a new laptop and it's TINY. I love it a lot though, if only because the carrying case I made work buy me is pink. *glee* However, add the unfamiliar keyboard to my new fake nails and I can't type worth shit. Today will not be all that productive me thinks.

3) Comic Con looks like it's going well, if the excited phone calls are to be believed. :) It sucks that I can't be there, but I'm glad everyone there is having a wicked awesome time. :) It's weird that my two best friends still get along without me. In the past whenever I've had a three-way BFF situation I was alway the one in the middle, and the other two couldn't get along without me. That is SO not the case here. I have a feeling trillian276709 and gonturan are having more fun that Comic Con can handle. ;)

How is everyone? I feel like I've been away forever and it's only been two days. *L*

ETA: And a GIANT happy birthday to deirdre_c. Baby, you make my FList a better place, and I don't know what I'd do without you. Now that the wedding is almost out of the way and you're back from vacation - we can get down to the srs bizness and work on Sweet Charity. Ohhhh, the ideas I have!!! *hugs* /ETA

I was doing okay today (even though I tweaked my back yesterday and am currently riding high on 800 mg of Ibuprofen. How did I tweak my back, might you ask? By sitting in a weird position while reading fanfic all day. I am MADE OF WIN.) until they released the Comic Con Thursday Schedule. They're having a Doctor Who panel, the SPN panel will be Sunday, I'm sure they'll have something for X-Files, not to mention all the other cool stuff I could have discovered or the fact that all my friends are going.

I'm so mad I could cry. I get that it's only a Convention and that I'm going to DragonCon a couple of weeks later, but it's not the same. My family is going to be awful that weekend, and if I get asked ONE MORE TIME why I don't have a date to the wedding, I really am going to loose it.

Calgon, take me away.

( Plastic!Winchester Theater - Comic Con Edition )

1) Remember FOREVER ago when missyjackand I were talking about putting together a meta book for the SPN fandom? Guess what. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a book. It took a little longer than we anticipated and it was a learning experience all around, but just wait until you see the results. :) I am so honored to have been part of this process, and I hope you all love this book as much as I do. It's available at-cost through Cafe Press for $16.99.

2) jeweleglantine made an amazing batch of Zac Efron/Hairspray icons last night. *points to icon* See? HE WINKS AT ME. I encourage all of my Zac-loving friends to head over and pick up a couple.

3) Christmas in August is off to a cracker-jack start!! My presents are very shiny. I made two icons for other people last night and they were both sort of lame, but it's the thought that counts, right? ;) Anyone who isn't already playing - what are you waiting for? Go!!

4) In more Zac Efron news, he will be staring in the new adaptation of Footloose. I don't know how I feel about this because I adore the Kevin Bacon version so much. But I guess anything with Zac singing is a win.


5) ladymango put up her Comic Con report (with pictures!) and you should check it out. There's the PWT fanclub and a picture of the line to get into one of the rooms and LOTS of pictures of people in costumes.

I think that'll do me for this morning. TGIF, people!! *does a little dance*

1) gonturan is my favorite. Not only did she unlock her wonderful picture of Jensen Ackles signing autographs at Comic Con, she put up the video of my full question during the panel. You can hear Kripke fucking interrupt me comment that he likes my Metallicar shirt (you can also watch Ackles stare at my chest, nod and smile. That's every girl's dream right there. *L*) and hear the clapping after Liz outs me as the PWT girl.  The truly unbelievable part? While the crowd is clapping and cheering Jensen also nods and claps. He clapped. For me. I don't think that has really sunk in quite yet. *is awed*

Also, Kripke's WTF face at the end is priceless.

ETA: Just for the record, I'm not irritated that Kripke dared interrupt the might anteka, I was irritated because I had the question memorized (like most people would do if they knew they were going to be nervous) and when he made his shirt comment it completely threw me off what I was going to say.  My mind blanked out for a minute and I giggled nervously because OMG WHAT WAS I GOING TO ASK??!? The question I ended up asking wasn't phrased exactly like I had planned (in the original I mentioned Sam driving in S1) but it was close enough for government work.

1) trillian276709 posted the video of me asking my question to the SPN panel at Comic Con. I haven't watched it yet. *hides* Look who decided to be brave. Uggh, no one should ever be shot from underneath at an extreme angle. I had no idea I had that many chins. *face palm* Also, I like how my voice is pretty steady but my body language screams nervous energy. I don't remember being nervous. I remember being irritated. Also, it's missing the part where Kripke talks about my t-shirt before I ask my question. Does anyone have video of the whole panel? I am shameless and would like to hear the crowd cheering. *is staring directly at gonturan* Got it! Thanks, guys!!

2) She also put up the pictures from the FOX event we abandoned her at. Kiefer Sutherland, FTW!!

I can't believe how many pictures I took of random things.

1) I will never get caught up. Never. Ever. The end.

2) I didn't get the emoness that normal accompanies my return from vacation. I got home around 8:30 last night and was able to get up this morning to go back to work without issue. That is very unlike me. Today at work I have so much to catch up on and no hope of doing it in a timely manner that I've become very Zen. The work will get done when it gets done. Hence me farting around on LJ for a couple of minutes.

4) mr. gonturan was able to snag an autograph ticket for Theresa and she met Jensen and company. [ETA: Which apparently she locked. She's traveling today, but maybe I can persuade her to unlock it when she gets in after she watermarks the picture.]  She posted an incredible picture of Jensen signing her poster. trillian276709 also got an autograph ticket (we tried to be smart and stick non-SPN people in the autograph line. The line started at 3 and the panel at 2:45 - it was like they WANTED people to skip the panel. I am still so pissed about that) and although she doesn't have her pictures up yet, she does have a picture of this ginormous Smallville bag we all were given. *shrug* I don't get it either.

5) It is good to be home. I miss my girls, but it was nice to sleep in my own bed.

Dude. That was one hell of a ride.

There will be a slight spoiler in here for Season Three but I'll save it until the very end and mark it clearly if you'd rather skip it. It's about casting/new characters/general S3 stuff.

5) Comic Con Autograph Schedule is up. No sign of the boys yet. Althought the two kids from "The Suite Life of Zac and Cody" are going to be there. That entertains me far more than it should.

1) PWT is coming out on Thursday night, not Wednesday. Too much real life at the moment.

2) I have a date with my 70-year-old high school tennis coach on Tuesday night, which, hello RANDOM. He called out of the blue last night and asked if I wanted to have dinner. Which, SERIOUSLY. I don’t think I’ve spoken to him since we bumped into each other while giving blood, and that was TWO YEARS AGO. Again. RANDOM.

3) OMG, HARRY POTTER!!! Four days, people. FOUR DAYS!!! In four more days we’ll KNOW. This is a ride I’ve been on since Prisoner of Azkaban came out. Four more days and it’s over. I can’t even imagine what holding that book in my hands is going to feel like. It will be the end of a fantastic journey. Reese is driving down to pick up her Harry Potter book with me. She is a late comer to the world of HP; she read all six books in about two weeks last summer. I’m just so happy that I get to spend this last midnight party with her.

4) Okay, so Inkworks is offering an exclusive set of SPN trading cards available only at Comic Con. I can only get six sets (and clex_monkie89, cloex_brosluvr, and malevolent73 already asked me) so if I can still pick up two more sets if people are interested. Consider this first come, first serve. Well that was quick. Sorry, folks! I've hit my limit!

5) Yesterday was the PWT One Year Anniversary and I wasn’t even around. *eyeroll* But buyo105 sent me a fabulous noise maker and restless_jedi made a PWT 1 year Gala Celebration Video that is really cute. I can't believe it's already been a year. *is nostalgic*
ETA: And cosmicviolet posted a cute little story about trying to make her own episode. You guys are awesome. :)

1) We went on a walk over to our new building site this morning. I had to wear a hard hat and everything. What once was a giant field is now a big hole filled with dirt. I hate change. I like our building and blah, blah, blah, we're growing and WHATEVER. I just hate change.

2) Just got done squeeing with trillian276709 on the phone over the Comic Con schedule. I don't know if we're going to make the Whedon panel (because we're camping out all day for the SPN one and they are only an hour apart) but we're going to try. DEFINITELY making the Buffy showing that night. I was just saying I wanted to see the Once More With Feeling tour thing to frances_veritas the other day! *L*

3) Did I mention I have a date for the opening of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" on Thursday? New Guy #5 at work asked me if I'd like to go out to dinner and see HP5, I said sure, do I get to wear my HP glasses?

4) So far this Monday is the best Monday in the history of EVER. gigglingkat and grrli bought me presents this last weekend, gonturan and I had a blast playing Barbies last night, and Comic Con is most definitely a WIN.

I'm having a good day. About time. :)

The boys. And Kripke. At ComicCon. Where I will be. There isn't enough squee in the WORLD for this. And here I was just happy to be going to see the ocean for the first time!!! *dies*

1) The Plastic!Winchesters: WinchestMidwest Edition went up last night. It's just a bit of silliness to tide you over until next week and the PWT S3 premiere.

2) I spent an hour running around getting the license plates fixed for the new car. Apparently there was some confusion over whether the old Jeep plates were in my name or my parents but in the end I just said screw it and got the new plates. It was honestly less trouble to just pay another $55 then waste more time waiting in a line.

3) I fly out to California in 24 days. It's amazing to me that when I was looking towards this summer I saw it as a series of events. Fly to Texas, winchestmidwest, Comic Con. I've already crossed two of those off the list. I'm looking forward to Cali if only because that is a real vacation. Other people get to take care of me while I'm there and the hardest decision I'll have to make is whether I should wear the flip flops with the rhinestones or the flip flops with the tacky fake flowers. I am really looking forward to Comic Con though. I can't wait to see all the vendors and go to all the panels and just be a geek for a couple of days. :)

ETA: DUDES. If Kripke is going to be at Comic Con I need the link of where it says that. Because DUDE. HOLY CRAP HE IS PLANNING ON COMING.

3) I bought my plane ticket to California for Comic Con on Saturday. \o/ I leave at 2:00pm on July 21st (and arrive in Cali eleven "real" hours later. It’ll only be 9:00pm their time). First I fly from Madison to Milwaukee, (and wait three hours) and then to Kansas (and wait another two hours) and then finally arrive in San Diego. Can I tell you how ridiculously excited I am to be flying into Kansas? *is a giant nerd* Layovers make me nervous but I swear I will brave that airport for a souvenir.

4) I haven’t touched my FList in two days because I heard a rumor about some April Fools jokes involving spoilers that I wanted to steer clear. How much do I love that I got two emails warning me away from LJ? I love that you guys have my back. :) Anyway, now that all that foolishness is done we can get back to normal. Normal for us, at least. ;)
