Big Bang Theory

Big Bang, Boom

1) I wish they would stop saying Kripke is making a Supernatural prequel that takes place in the Old West because I'm 99% sure he's just kidding. Do they really think the CW would greenlight that? Only if it takes place at a high school in a very famous zip code.

2) [info]winchestmidwest starts Friday and I'm starting to get that "OMG I'M NOT READY" feeling. Everything always works itself out. Breathe, honey.

3) I could really go for a iced mocha. Calories be DAMNED.

4) I get irrationally angry everytime some jackass reporter says Camp Rock premiered higher than HSM. It premiered higher than HSM1 because no one knew it was going to be such a juggernaut when it aired. HSM1 built over word of mouth and repeat viewings. HSM2 was the biggest premiere on a cable network and Camp Rock DIDN'T beat that. Suck it, Disney and stop trying to disrespect the Zefron.

Updates on Stuff

1) I forgot to grab the paper from the lunch room, but I did find part of the article that ran in our paper yesterday in the Saint Louis Dispatch. However, it's missing the bit where Kripke talks about fan run conventions and that's the part I wanted to squee about. SUUUUUUCK. Sorry, Brian.

ETA2: FOUND IT!!! Many thanks to [info]bloggerchick . :) Here's the bit I wanted to point out:

"The first time I realized we were on the level with ‘Star Trek’ Trekkies was when I heard of a fan convention,” says Kripke in a recent phone interview.

“Fans were gathering in different towns, having meetings and seminars to discuss the inner psychology of the characters. It blew my mind that the show had gotten to that level."

2) I am reasonably confident we will open registration for [info]winchestmidwest by Monday. We still have a couple more items to iron out and then we'll be set to go. We're going to top last year, I promise. :)

3) Thursday is for Supernatural! I don't care what the schedule says. I'm in the mood for Asylum/Scarecrow. YAY, SHOW!!!! ETA: Sorry, to be clear - I'm watching Asylum/Scarecrow on my DVDs. They are still playing Reaper in our timeslot./ETA</b>

Pushing Daisies - Peeking

Writer's Strike News

Optimism, thy name is Eric Kripke.

Supernatural boss Eric Kripke told me: "If the strike ends by mid-February, we could probably still gear up and get two or three episodes done. If it ends tomorrow, which it won't, we could do three or four. With any luck, the strike will be over in time for us to bang out a couple more." [source]

Of course he says "bang" and half the fandom went to the naughty place.
